This case study explores the implementation of our TV System within Woking & Sam Beare, a patient-led charity that delivers supportive care to those that have advanced life-limiting illnesses, living in North West Surrey. This project focused on creating the most accessible and clear user experience possible.
They were looking for an upgrade throughout their establishment that reflected their branding and tone of voice. They wanted their TVs to provide entertainment and useful information to residents, guests, and staff. They wanted to implement casting and screen mirroring with easy to follow instructions throughout the TV System for easy streaming from both iOS and Android devices.
We designed the TV System to be on brand and consistent with the look and feel of the care home. With an easy to use check in-check out system with dedicated login portal, for receptionists across the care home.
The new System allows guests to watch live TV, and listen to the radio channels with a bespoke accessible radio channel solution. As well as displaying information about the hospice, weekly menu, meal timings, visiting times, room information, events, and more. With QR code functionality throughout the WiFi, casting, and donation pages for convenience along with QR codes around the system that lead to the website.
Benefits to residents and staff include efficiency and how informative the TV System is with basic information. The personalisation of the system, allowing the TVs to display the room number and resident name. The menu gets updated weekly keeping residents informed, the donation page with a QR code to easily go to their website, the about the menu page that gives details to the timings of meals, the upcoming events page.
As a result, the TV System delivers a clean design with accessible features being able to be used by residents as well as visiting relatives, accurate to their brand, easy to use and manage for staff and residents, with content fully managed and updated by us.
